The Resort at The Mountain's 27-hole golf course, nestled in the Salmon River Valley of the Mt. Hood National Forest, offers awe-inspiring views. From the most forgiving "Thistle Nine," to the region's oldest course, the "Pine Cone Nine," to the signature course, the "Foxglove Nine," the course provides an unmatched golf experience for well-intentioned beginners, seasoned pros, and anyone in between.
A Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, The Resort is dedicated to fostering and preserving the golf course's vibrant ecosystem. Golfers will witness the results of The Resort's award-winning efforts in restoring bird and fish habitats along the Wee Burn stream, a tributary to the dedicated wild and scenic Salmon River.

Pine Cone Nine
View Score Card
Originally built in 1928 by town founder, Billy Welch, Pine Cone is the fourth oldest course in Oregon. Measuring 3,299 yards and playing to par 36, its main feature - the Wee Burn stream - edging the fairways of holes one and three requires golfers to hit straight from the start of their rounds.

Originally constructed in the mid-1960's, Thistle has undergone the most dramatic facelift. While measuring only 2,956 yards and playing to a par 34, its hazards on seven of the nine holes reward the golfers who best manage their games. The fourth hole (the only par five) is reachable in two shots. A favorite of the head professional, it is a perfect risk/reward hole.

Opened in 1981, Foxglove is considered the most challenging nine holes of 27, measuring 3,106 yards. It plays to a par 36. The first fairway features an infamous and centrally-located monolithic boulder - known as "The Rock," courtesy of a Mount Hood eruption of long ago. And the wild and scenic Salmon River runs along the first three holes. An extra sleeve of golf balls is suggested when playing this Nine!
