Mt. Hood Golf Resorts

The Resort at The Mountain's 27-hole golf course (The Courses), nestled in the Salmon River Valley of the Mt. Hood National Forest, offers awe-inspiring views. Its three nines provide an unmatched golf experience for well-intentioned beginners, seasoned pros, and anyone in between.

Golfers seeking an exceptional outing in the Mt. Hood area, will find The Courses an exceptional choice. Strategy serves players well, as each hole is approachable in a variety of ways, keeping the course challenging and unique with each and every round.

And for golfers in need or want of an instructional pointer or two (or three), the golf professionals and instructors at The Courses offer playing tips and individual lessons.

Of course, there's the Pro Shop, where equipment rentals are available, along with a pleasant array of retail clothing and equipment.

The Courses is open to Resort guest, member, and daily-fee play.

Night Golf

Here's an opportunity to make any one or all three of these Friday nights special this summer: July 17, August 7 and September 4.

Because for just $25 per player, you and a significant other, not-so-significant other or available family members can come out and experience four holes of night golf. (You can even play the same holes twice!) That's right. Night golf! The fairways will be lined with glow sticks (to mark direction), and the flag sticks and holes will be lit up as well (to mark the targets). A beverage cart, alight with glow sticks, will roam the course (don't worry - we'll find you!). And afterwards, the fire pit will tantalize. You don't need to be a golfer to enjoy this activity. To request more information or make reservations, call the Pro Shop at 503-622-2216.

This event gives new meaning to the term Friday Night Lights!

Wine on Nine

Put these three summer dates on your calendar right now: 4PM on July 11, August 15 and September 12.

Because for only $44 per person or $30 for golfers with an annual pass, participants may enjoy one, two or all three events in this fun event series. They'll be similar, but not identical. Following a nine-hole two-team tournament scramble format, "golfers" will come upon three wine stations, each featuring delectable wines from local wineries, paired thoughtfully with appetizers. Do the math -- that means one wine and food station every three holes! And there'll be two additional tasting stations at the Awards Ceremony. Woo hoo. And wines tasted at the stations may be purchased at the conclusion of the event for enticingly affordable price points.

We call the golf event a "Hit and Giggle" format, designed for "real" golfers and their non-golfing spouses to have a blast. Silly event activities over the three dates will include participants teeing off with a tennis racket, teeing off with a baseball bat; playing an entire hole with a 7-iron; putting with a hockey stick, and hitting a ball through a large pipe in the middle of the fairway about 250 yards out. If you think any of these might improve either your golf score, your golf game or your attitude toward either or both, these events were designed for you! If you simply want to go out on the golf course to have some fun, these events were created with you in mind too!

There'll be prizes for both men's and women's KP's and a $5.00 voucher redeemable at Mallards Cafe & Pub. Prizes include an overnight stay at The Resort for the first place team; dinner at Altitude for the second place team, and a round of golf (including cart) for the third place team.

Oh, and do think seriously about designating a golf cart driver because, yes, the cart is included in the per person fee too. Call the Pro Shop today to make reservations. 503-622-3151.
