NORTHWEST CULTURE TAKES CENTER STAGE AT HOLIDAY FESTIVAL
The Resort at The Mountain Hosts 23rd Annual Holiday Wine and Art Festival
WELCHES (Mt. Hood), Ore. – (October 17, 2012) - The Resort at The Mountain, a premier golf, spa and ski destination located along the western slopes of Mt. Hood, brings out the holiday spirit with the 23rd annual Holiday Wine and Art Festival. Northwest artists will join local wineries at the two-day festival to benefit the Oregon Humane Society.
On November 17 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and November 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests can browse the crafts of local artisans and sip Oregon wines in The Resort’s inviting lodge atmosphere. The event also includes a raffle to benefit the Oregon Humane Society, for which each participating artist donates an item.
“The Holiday Art, Wine and Music Festival is a great way to kick off the holiday season while enjoying the bounty of our region,” said Frank Casarez, general manager of The Resort. “It is our pleasure to host this annual tradition and share in the holiday spirit with our community.”
Participating wineries include Noble Estate Vineyard and Winery, Oak Knoll Winery, Pheasant Valley Winery, King’s Raven Winery and Naked Winery. Local artists from Terry Powers Recycled Art, Steve Ludeman Art, and A Gathering of Spirits will be on-hand with a variety of sculptures, watercolor paintings, photographs, ceramics and more.
Event admission is complimentary; Wine Tasting Passports are available for $15 and include a commemorative glass. For guests looking to enjoy both days of the festival, The Resort is offering a Holiday Wine and Art Festival package, which includes two Wine Tasting Passports, two commemorative glasses and overnight accommodations at The Resort.
