KICK OFF THE HOLIDAY SEASON AT THE 22ND ANNUAL HOLIDAY
ART, WINE & MUSIC FESTIVAL
Premier event to take place at The Resort at The Mountain Nov. 19-20
WELCHES (Mt. Hood), Ore. – (September 7, 2011) - ’Tis the season for shopping, sipping and soothing sounds at the 22nd Annual Holiday Art, Wine and Music Festival taking place at The Resort at The Mountain(The Resort) on Sat., Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sun., Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This annual tradition, started in 1989, highlights some of the region’s best artists, winemakers and musicians. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase art from local artists and sample varietals from wineries, all while enjoying live musical entertainment. Additionally, each vendor at the event will donate an item to be included in a raffle drawing that will take place at various times throughout the weekend. All proceeds from raffle ticket sales will be donated to the Oregon Humane Society.
“It’s a pleasure to once again host this fun and festive event for the public,” said Frank Casarez, general manager of The Resort. “Each year, this event attracts more vendors and attendees, and it has grown to be one of the region’s premier wine and art festivals.”
Admission to the 22nd Annual Holiday Art, Wine and Music Festival is free. Wine tasting passports can be purchased for $15 each and include a commemorative glass.
The Resort at The Mountain is offering the Holiday Art, Wine and Music Fest package which includes accommodation in a comfortably appointed guest room, two wine tasting passports good for the entire weekend and two commemorative glasses. The package is available Nov. 18 through 20 and starts at $129 per night.
