CHEFS AND FOODIES GO WILD ABOUT GAME
The Resort at The Mountain celebrates Nicky USA’s 11th Annual Wild About Game Festival

WELCHES (Mt. Hood), Ore. – (August 23, 2011) - The Resort at The Mountain, a premier golf, spa and ski destination located in the western highlands of Mt. Hood, is pleased to offer the Wild About Game package in celebration of Nicky USA’s 11th Annual Wild About Game Festival taking place on Sunday, September 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year’s annual Wild About Game Festival event celebrates ten of the region’s best award-winning chefs in an “Iron Chef” style cooking competition, including The Resort’s own Executive Chef Paul Bosch, and also features educational food demonstrations, wine tastings and culinary seminars. Pacific Northwest chefs will square off using various game birds and meats from local family farms and ranches in a friendly cooking competition.

“It’s a joy to be the host for this great event once again,” said Frank Casarez, general manager of The Resort. “Foodies get to learn about and sample delicious ways to prepare a variety of game, while chefs get the opportunity to showcase their culinary skill and talent in the cooking competition.”

For guests who would like to stay the night, The Resort is offering the Wild About Game package, which includes a modern, spacious guest room, two passes to the festival, and dinner for two at mallards café & pub, which will feature a special menu of game dishes. The package is available for one night only on Sunday, Sept. 18 and rates start at $209.
