The Resort at The Mountain brings back the geocaching adventure package

WELCHES (Mt. HOOD), Ore. – (April 4, 2011) – The Resort at The Mountain (The Resort), a nature inspired spa, golf and ski destination located on 243 acres less than one hour east of Portland, Ore., is pleased to announce the return of its geocaching package for adventurers and explorers of all ages.

The Hide & Seek – A Geocaching Adventure package includes a list of nearby geocaching waypoints, two logo items to place in caches, a picnic lunch for two adults and up to two children (age 12 and under), and accommodation in a spacious guestroom to rest following a day of geocaching adventures.

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunt where participants use GPS coordinates to discover hidden containers with a logbook inside showing the cache's origin, who has found it and what has been left there in the past. Many caches also contain souvenirs that the discoverer can take, but should replace with an item of equal or greater value for the next geocacher to find. There are nearly 1.3 million geocaches in the world, and 75 of these are located within a one mile radius of The Resort.
