Winter-Specific Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing

On The Courses - Explore 243 acres of your group's own private on-site snow field! Ideal for beginners. Two-hour guide and instructor are available for $10 per person. Add bonfire and warm refreshments upon your return for an additional $50.

At Trillium Lake - The Trillium Lake Basin is Mt. Hood's best-known cross country ski location. While most of its twelve miles of trails are suitable for novices, all begin with a challenging drop at the entrance. Most popular trails are groomed.

At Mirror Lake (snowshoe only) - Enjoy stunning views of Mt. Hood and dazzling lake reflections of Mt. Hood's peak rising. On clear days, revel in the dramatic ridge views of Tom, Dick and Harry as well as peak views from Mt. Rainier to Three Sisters. This 3.2 round trip trek (with a 780 feet elevation change) will test all skill levels.

On Hunchback Mountain (snowshoe only) - Get your climb on with this challenging five-mile round trip (with a 2,900 feet elevation change). Savor the beautiful views of Mt. Hood and Salmon-Huckleberry Valley. During this adventure, you'll burn more than 2,000 or more calories! Recommended for more advanced skill levels.
